Accident and emergency (A&E) departments assess and treat patients with serious injuries or illnesses. You should visit A&E or call 999 for life-threatening emergencies.

You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it’s not a life-threatening situation. Its open 24/7 every day of the year and is free to call from mobiles and landlines.
Changes to Alexandra Avenue Health Centre
From 1 November 2018, patients will need to book their appointment before arriving at the Alexandra Health Care Centre. GP appointments will be available 8am-8pm seven days a week.
