The Citizens Advice Bureau aims to improve patients’ health and well-being by offering the full range of Citizens Advice services to those experiencing issues on:
- Welfare Benefits.
- Debt Matters
- Money worries, including utility providers
- Housing and Landlord Matters
- Employment issues
- Tax credits
- Those suffering from or fleeing from Domestic Violence
- Other non-medical issues.
Their aim is to provide practical advice and support for those vulnerable patients experiencing any of the above.
Referral to this service is free and confidential, and simple to make by your GP. All that is needed is a few simple details and once referred, you will have a pre-arranged appointment (booked to take place at St. Peter’s Medical Centre) with an experienced and trained ‘Citizens Advice’ adviser, who will seek to help, advise and support you with your non-medical issues.
